The International Day of La Francophonie is a day dedicated to the French language that unites 200 million speakers in the world.
This year, the celebration is under the theme: “I like, I share”. In Togo, the events organized by the West Africa Regional Office (BRAO) of the Organization Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) were chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Building on the theme of this celebration, Dussey asked, “Why love, why share?”.
“In truth, as Saint Augustine says: no one lives without love and Albert Camus adds that I know only one duty, and that is to love, yes we love our language, we love our Francophonie. Beyond the festivities, he said “the celebration of this Day urges us to appropriate and disseminate the cardinal values ​​of la Francophonie which are among others love, sharing, solidarity, tolerance, Promotion and consolidation of peace, democracy and the rule of law “.
The Minister appreciated the support that the IFO has always been able to bring to Togo through “multifaceted interventions for the harmonious development” of the Togolese people.
