On July 6, 2026, His Excellency Captain Ibrahim TRAORÉ, President of Faso, Head of State, elevated His Excellency Professor Robert Dussey, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Togolese Abroad of the Togolese Republic, to the dignity of Commander of the Order of the Stallion.
An eminent distinction
This eminent distinction reflects the excellence of the relations of friendship, fraternity and cooperation that unite the Togolese Republic and Burkina Faso.

Convergence of views
It also reflects the convergence of views between the two States on the major issues of peace, security, stability, regional integration and development on the African continent, as well as their shared determination to promote an Africa that is ever more united, supportive, sovereign and prosperous.
Gratitude and humility
On behalf of the President of the Council, H.E.M. Faure Essozimna GNASSINGBE, Minister Robert DUSSEY expresses his profound gratitude to the President of Faso for this high mark of esteem and trust. He receives it with great humility as an expression of the quality of the fraternal ties that unite the two countries and their peoples, as well as their common commitment to ever closer African cooperation.

Pan-African commitment
The Minister takes this happy occasion to commend the constant commitment of the President of Faso to the ideals of Pan-Africanism, the strengthening of continental solidarity, the promotion of African solutions to African challenges and the deepening of the continent’s integration.
New Togo–Sahel Strategy
The Minister sees in this distinction an encouragement to continue, under the high guidance of the President of the Council, efforts aimed at strengthening cooperation with Burkina Faso and the other countries of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) within the framework of the New Togo–Sahel Strategy, based on an integrated approach combining political dialogue, security cooperation, economic integration, regional solidarity and the promotion of sustainable development in the service of peace.
A distinction in the service of friendship, cooperation and African integration
This high mark of esteem reaffirms the quality of the fraternal ties between Togo and Burkina Faso, as well as their shared determination to strengthen African cooperation based on solidarity, sovereignty and peace.
