Togolese Foreign Minister Robert Dussey met in Washington with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. He is the first African diplomat to be received by former ExxonMobil CEO named in February by Donald Trump.
During their discussion, the two men discussed the holding of the annual AGOA Forum and the constructive dialogue between Togo and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) in Lome in August.
It was also discussed the holding of the First Africa-Israel Summit in Lome in October. An event supported by the US administration that intends to create a new axis of cooperation between Africa, Israel and the United States.
Finally, Rex Tillerson conveyed to Robert Dussey a congratulatory message after the election of President Faure Gnassingbe as head of ECOWAS.
